Regarding the logo, it has a double meaning of ‘Pause’ while showing the symbols of the roadworks’ signs. The meaning of Save Land is an organization created to protect the land. In particular, the environment is polluted by rebuilding a damaged road, which causes climate change. The organization is responsible for informing people of problems with road construction.
Save Land - Cars damage just more than our road
This project is to communicate issues related to Climate Justice through exploration and research in my local area. The road breaking down has become a big issue by observing the local area. Moreover, this is no longer a problem where I live now. It is one of the problems in Sydney right now. It means that regional issues are linked to the entire region.
The issue I am focusing on is the road being destroyed as it is overused. As the destroyed road is rebuilt, it will significantly impact the land again, accelerating climate change. The road construction was made solely for our convenience, and it transformed the land. Through this project, I would like to grapple with the significant road construction that would trigger climate change.
I created a virtual organization and made its logo. It was created to campaign for people on this issue, combined with the organization and the Inner West Council, where I explored. Through the campaign, I would like to be aware of the road problems being broken by people and urge them to consider the impacts of using roads. As a result, it is to act people to reduce the use of cars.
